We just bought an HD Video Camera for the church and started uploading our sermon videos to the internet. If you’re interested you can check out the video below or take a look at our channel on vimeo.
This past weekend I got to go back down to Cool, CA and visit with all of my new friends. I also preached in the Sunday morning service on “A Theology of Waiting”. Here’s the video.
A good friend of mine recently sent me an e-mail encouraging me to listen to CJ Mahaney’s sermon from the 2009 Gospel Coalition meeting on “The Pastor’s Charge”. By God’s grace I was able to listen to the sermon during a week of unbelievably intense ministry and was profoundly blessed by it. I would highly recommend it to anyone involved in Pastoral Ministry or to anyone who just loves their pastor and wants to know his life a little better.
You can also find the podcast version of the sermon under “The Gospel Coalition 2009” podcast series on iTunes or Zune Marketplace.
I do plan on writing something pretty soon, but for now here is the latest Foundations of the Faith video. This video covers hermeneutics and the process of Bible Study, as well as a series of devotional thoughts.
Here are a few of the most recent sermons that I’ve preached. The first 2 are lessons 4 &5 from Foundations of the Faith. The third video is on Hebrews 4:14-16 and is titled “Jesus Understands”
It’s been a pretty busy season of ministry recently with 3 different retreats, 2 major over night events (kidnappings), and a whole new schedule to get used to. With all of the craziness of these last 2 months I’ve fallen behind on my blogging but hopefully once this next weekend is finished (Junior High Fall Retreat) I’ll be back to a pretty regular schedule around here. In the meantime here’s the latest video from our Foundations of the Faith class. You can find the audio on the church website www.ebcmv.org.
Here is the video from this week’s Foundations of the Faith Class. You can find the audio on our church website and the powerpoint and handout here and here.
This is a sermon from a Southern Baptist Pastor’s Conference that I really needed to listen to on going to Jesus outside the camp and ministering to the least of these.
This last Sunday was my first Sunday for video taping the Foundations of the Faith Class, as well as our Sunday night ministry. I’m definitely not Peter Jackson, but I have to say that I’m pretty proud of how these turned out. I used my flip camcorder and the flip software for the recording. The Hebrews Introduction was filmed using the flips digital zoom, which apparently really degrades the quality so next time I’ll just have to set the camera up where I want it and not use the zoom.
If you interested in the audio, you can find the audio for the Foundations of the Faith class here. You can find the audio of the Introduction to the book of Hebrews here. If you’re curious, I used a program called “Audacity” and a cable from my amp into my laptop for the Foundations of the Faith recording. We have a CD Burner in the Youth Center that I used for the Sunday Night recording. I think they both turned out pretty well.
Finally, you can find the handout and the PowerPoint slides for Foundations of the Faith here and here.
